Isaiah 56

Isaiah Chapter 56 KJV

An exhortation to holiness of life: 3God promiseth that it shall be accepted without respect of persons. 9The calamities of the church imputed to blind watchmen.
Thus saith the Lord, 1Keep ye ajudgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
1Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that 2keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
¶ Neither 1let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither 2let the eunuch say, Behold, I am 3a dry tree.
For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs 1that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
1Even unto them will I give in 2mine house and within my walls a place and 3a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Also the sons of the stranger, that 1join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and 2to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, 3every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and 4taketh hold of my covenant;
Even them will I 1bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for 2mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
The Lord God which 1gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, 2Yet will I gather others to him, abeside those that are gathered unto him.
1All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.
His 1watchmen are 2blind: they are all ignorant, they are all 3dumb dogs, they cannot bark; asleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
Yea, 1they are agreedy dogs which bcan never have enough, and they are 2shepherds that cannot understand: 3they all look to their own way, 4every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Come ye, say they, 1I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
