Psalms 137

Psalm 137 KJV

The constant affection of the Jews in captivity to their desolate country. 7Edom and Babylon are cursed.
By 1the rivers of Babylon, there we 2sat down, yea, we wept, when 3we remembered Zion.
We 1hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
For 1there they that carried us away captive required of us aa song; and they that bwasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
How 1shall we sing the Lord's song in a astrange land?
If 1I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
If I do not remember thee, let my 1tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; 2if I prefer not Jerusalem above amy chief joy.
1Remember, O Lord, 2the chil-dren of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, aRase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
O daughter of Babylon, 1who art to be adestroyed; happy shall he be, bthat rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
Happy shall he be, that taketh and 1dasheth thy little ones against athe stones.
