Psalms 41

Psalm 41 KJV

The recompence of the charitable man. 4David prayeth for mercy, complaining of the treachery of his enemies and apostate friends: 11he acknowledgeth God's favour, and blesseth him.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
Blessed is 1he that considereth athe poor: the Lord will 2deliver him bin time of trouble.
The 1Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and 2he shall be blessed upon the earth: and athou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
The Lord 1will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt amake all his bed in his sickness.
I said, Lord, 1be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
Mine 1enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
And 1if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
All 1that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise amy hurt.
aAn evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: 1and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Yea, amine own 1familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath blifted up his heel against me.
But thou, 1O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
By 1this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
And as for me, 1thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and 2settest me before thy face for ever.
1Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
