Psalms 85

Psalm 85 KJV

The Psalmist, having acknowledged God's returning favour to his people, humbly prayeth for the completion of it: 8he promiseth to wait God's answer in confidence of his manifold blessings.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm afor the sons of Korah.
Lord, 1thou hast been afavourable unto thy land: 2thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
Thou 1hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
Thou 1hast taken away all thy wrath: athou hast 2turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
1Turn us, O God of our salvation, 2and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
1Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
1Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
1Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
I 1will hear what God the Lord will speak: 2for he will speak peace unto his people, and to 3his saints: but 4let them not turn again to folly.
1Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that 2glory may dwell in our land.
1Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
1Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Yea, 1the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
1Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
