1Now the Spirit 1speaketh expressly, that in the latter times 2some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to 3seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
21Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience 2seared with a hot iron;
31Forbidding to marry, 2and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
41For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
51For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6If 1thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, 2thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of 3good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
71But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8For bodily exercise profiteth 1alittle: but godliness is profitable unto all things, 2having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
91This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
101For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we 2trust in the living God, who is the 3Saviour of all men, 4specially of those that believe.
111These things command and teach.
121Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an 2example of the believers, in word, in 3conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in 4purity.
131Till I come, give attendance to reading, to 2exhortation, to 3doctrine.
141Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of 2the presbytery.
151Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; 2that thy profiting may appear ato all.
161Take heed unto thyself, and unto the 2doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this 3thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
