Galatians 3

Galatians Chapter 3 KJV

Paul asketh what had moved the Galatians to depend on the law, having already received the Spirit through faith. 6As Abraham was justified by faith, so they who are of faith inherit his blessing. 10The law brought men under a curse, and could not justify. 13Christ hath freed us from the curse, and laid open the blessing to all believers. 15Supposing that the law justified, God's covenant with Abraham would be void. 19But the law was only a temporary provision against sin till Christ's coming, and in no wise contrary to God's promises: 23serving as a schoolmaster to prepare men for Christ. 25But faith being come, the law is at an end, and all believers are without distinction become children of God, and heirs of the promise.
O 1FOOLISH Galatians, who hath 2bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes 3Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye 1the Spirit by the works of the law, or by 2the hearing of faith?
1Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
1Have ye suffered aso many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
He therefore that 1ministereth to you the Spirit, and 2worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
1Even as Abraham believed God, and it was aaccounted to him for righteousness.
Know ye therefore that 1they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
And 1the scripture, foreseeing that God 2would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, 3In thee shall all nations be blessed.
1So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
1For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, 2Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
But 1that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, 2The just shall live by faith.
And 1the law is not of faith: but, 2The man that doeth them shall live in them.
1Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, 2Cursed is every one that 3hangeth on a tree:
1That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we 2might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Brethren, 1I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's acovenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
Now 1to Abraham and his seed were 2the promises made. He saith not, 3And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
And this I say, that the covenant, that 1was confirmed before of God in Christ, 2the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that 3it should make the promise of none effect.
For 1if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
Wherefore then serveth the law? 1It was added because of transgressions, till 2the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained 3by angels in the hand of 4a mediator.
1Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
is the law then 1against the promises of God? God forbid: 2for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
But 1the scripture hath concluded 2all under sin, 3that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
1But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Wherefore the law was 1our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, 2that we might be justified by faith.
But after that faith is come, 1we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
1For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
For 1as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
1There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for 2ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
1And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and 2heirs according to the promise.
