Job Chapter 22 KJV

Eliphaz sheweth that man's goodness profiteth not God: 5he accuseth Job of various sins, to which he imputeth his calamities: 15he bringeth evidence of the example of wicked men to shew that God's judgments at length overtake them: 21and exhorteth Job to repentance with promises of mercy.
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
1Can a man be profitable unto God, aas he that is wise may be profitable 2unto himself?
is 1it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?
Will he 1reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
is not thy wickedness 1great? and thine iniquities infinite?
For 1thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and astripped the naked of their clothing.
1Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou 2hast withholden bread from the hungry.
But as for athe mighty man, he 1had the earth; and the bhonourable man dwelt in it.
1Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
Therefore 1snares are round about thee, and sudden 2fear troubleth thee;
Or 1darkness, that thou canst not see; 2and abundance of waters cover thee.
1Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold athe height of the stars, how high they are!
And thou sayest, 1aHow doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
1Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in 2the circuit of heaven.
Hast thou marked the 1old way which wicked men have trodden?
Which 1were cut down out of time, awhose foundation was overflown with a flood:
Which said unto God, 1Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do afor them?
Yet he 1filled their houses with good things: but 2the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
The 1righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
Whereas our asubstance is not cut down, but bthe remnant of them the 1fire consumeth.
1Acquaint now thyself with ahim, and 2be at peace: thereby 3good shall come unto thee.
1Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and 2lay up his words in thine heart.
1If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt 2put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
Then 1shalt thou lay up gold aas dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
Yea, the Almighty shall be thy adefence, and thou shalt have bplenty of silver.
For then shalt thou 1have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt 2lift up thy face unto God.
Thou 1shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
Thou shalt also 1decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the 2light shall shine upon thy ways.
1When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he 2shall save athe humble person.
aHe shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
