Jonah Chapter 1 KJV

Jonah, sent by God to Nineveh, fleeth to Tarshish: 4he is overtaken by a storm, and discovered; 11thrown into the sea, 17and swallowed by a fish.
Now the 1word of the Lord came unto aJonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Arise, go to 1Nineveh, that 2great city, and cry against it; for 3their wickedness is come up before me.
But Jonah 1rose up to 2flee unto 3Tarshish from the 4presence of the Lord, and went down to 5Joppa; and he found a ship going to 6Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.
¶ But 1the Lord asent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship bwas like to be broken.
Then the mariners were afraid, and 1cried every man unto his god, and 2cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and 3was fast asleep.
So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, 1What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, 2call upon thy God, 3if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us 1cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and 2the lot fell upon Jonah.
Then said they unto him, 1Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; 2What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?
And he said unto them, 1I am an Hebrew; and I 2fear athe Lord, the 3God of heaven, 4which hath made the sea and the dry land.
Then were the men aexceedingly afraid, and said unto him, 1Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he 2fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.
¶ Then said they unto him, 1What shall we do unto thee, that the sea amay be calm unto us? for the sea bwrought, and was tempestuous.
And he said unto them, 1Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that 2for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
Nevertheless the men arowed hard to bring it to the land; 1but they could not: for the sea bwrought, and was tempestuous against them.
Wherefore they 1cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, 2let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, 3O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
So 1they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea aceased from her raging.
Then the men 1feared the Lord exceedingly, and aoffered 2a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made 3vows.
¶ Now the Lord had 1prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And 2Jonah was in the abelly of the fish three days and three nights.
