Jonah Chapter 3 KJV

Jonah, being sent again, preacheth the overthrow of Nineveh. 5Upon their repentance 10God repenteth him of the evil.
And the 1word of the Lord came unto Jonah the 2second time, saying,
Arise, go unto 1Nineveh, that great city, and 2preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
So 1Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was aan exceeding 2great city of three days' journey.
And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, 1Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
¶ So the people of Nineveh 1believed God, and 2proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
For word came unto 1the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and 2covered him with sackcloth, and 3sat in ashes.
And 1he caused it to be proclaimed and apublished through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his bnobles, saying, Let neither man nor 2beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
But let man and beast be covered with 1sackcloth, and 2cry mightily unto God: yea, 3let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
1Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
¶ And 1God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God 2repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
