Micah Chapter 2 KJV

God's judgment against oppression. 4A lamentation for the removal of his people. 7A reproof for their injustice and delight in false prophets. 12A promise of restoration.
Woe to them that 1devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because 2it is in the power of their hand.
And 1they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they aoppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
Therefore thus saith the Lord; 1Behold, against this 2family do I devise an evil, 3from which ye shall not remove your necks; 4neither shall ye go haughtily: for 5this time is evil.
¶ In that day shall one take up 1a parable against you, and lament awith a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: 2he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! bturning away he hath divided our fields.
Therefore 1thou shalt have none that shall 2cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the Lord.
1aProphesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: 2they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.
¶ O thou that art 1named the house of Jacob, 2is the spirit of the Lord astraitened? are these his doings? 3do not my words do good to him that walketh buprightly?
1Even aof late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe bwith the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.
The awomen of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.
1Arise ye, and depart; for this is not 2your rest: 3because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
1If a man awalking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; 2he shall even be the prophet of this people.
¶ I 1will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; 2I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall 3make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.
The 1breaker is come up before them: 2they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and 3their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them.
