Nahum Chapter 1 KJV

The majesty of God in goodness to his people, and severity against his enemies.
The 1burden of 2Nineveh. The book of the 3vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
aGod is 1jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord 2revengeth, and bis furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he 3reserveth wrath for his enemies.
The Lord is 1slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord 2hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
1He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
The 1mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
1Who can stand before his indignation? and who can aabide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out 2like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
The Lord is 1good, a astrong hold in the day of trouble; and he 2knoweth them that trust in him.
But with an 1overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the 2place thereof, and 3darkness shall pursue his enemies.
1What do ye imagine against the Lord? 2he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
For 1while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, 2they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
There is 1one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the Lord, aa wicked counsellor.
1Thus saith the Lord; aThough they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be bcut down, when he shall pass through. Though 2I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
For now will I break his 1yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
And 1the Lord hath given a commandment concerning thee, that 2no more of thy name be sown: 3out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: 4I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
1Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! 2O Judah, akeep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for bthe wicked 3shall no more pass through thee; he is 4utterly cut off.
