Psalms 10

Psalm 10 KJV

David complaineth to God of the outrages of the wicked: 12he prayeth for reparation: 16he professeth his confidence.
Why 1standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
aThe 1wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: 2let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
For the wicked 1boasteth of his aheart's desire, 2and bblesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
The wicked, 1through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: aGod is not in all his thoughts.
1His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are 2far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he 3puffeth at them.
He hath said in his heart, 1I shall not be moved: for I shall anever be in adversity.
His 1mouth is full of cursing and adeceit and fraud: under his tongue is bmischief and vanity.
He 1sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes aare privily set against the poor.
He lieth in wait asecretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
aHe croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall bby his strong ones.
He 1hath said in his heart, 2God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
Arise, O Lord; O God, 1lift up thine hand: forget not the ahumble.
Wherefore 1doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not 2require it.
Thou 1hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor acommitteth himself unto thee; thou art the 2helper of the fatherless.
1Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: 2seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
1The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen 2are perished out of his land.
Lord, 1thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt aprepare their heart, 2thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
To 1judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the 2man of the earth may no more aoppress.
