Psalms 102

Psalm 102 KJV

The prophet complaineth bitterly of his afflicted case: 12he taketh comfort in the eternity and mercy of God. 18The mercies of God are worthy to be recorded. 23The prophet, sensible of his own weakness, resteth his hope on the unchangeable nature of God.
A 1Prayer aof the afflicted, when he is 2overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the Lord.
Hear 1my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.
1Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; 2incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
For 1my days are consumed alike smoke, and 2my bones are burned as an hearth.
My 1heart is smitten, and withered like grass; 2so that I forget to eat my bread.
By 1reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my askin.
I 1am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
I 1watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
Mine 1enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are 2mad against me are sworn against me.
For 1I have eaten ashes like bread, and 2mingled my drink with weeping,
1Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou 2hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
My 1days are 2like a shadow that declineth; and 3I am withered like grass.
But 1thou, O Lord, 2shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
Thou 1shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: 2for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
For 1thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
So 1the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
When 1the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
He 1will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
This 1shall be written for the generation to come: and 2the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.
For 1he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;
To 1hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose athose that are appointed to death;
To 1declare the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
When 1the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.
He aweakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
I 1said, O my God, take me not away 2in the midst of my days: 3thy years are throughout all generations.
Of 1old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
They 1shall perish, but thou shalt aendure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
But 1thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
The 1children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
