Psalms 118

Psalm 118 KJV

An exhortation to praise God for his mercy. 5The Psalmist by his own experience sheweth how good it is to trust in God. 19Under the type of the Psalmist the coming of Christ in his kingdom is expressed.
O GIVE 1thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: 2because his mercy endureth for ever.
1Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
1Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
1Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
I 1called upon the Lord ain distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in 2a large place.
The 1Lord is aon my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
The 1Lord taketh my part with them that help me: 2therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
it is 1better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
it is 1better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
1All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I adestroy them.
They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
They 1compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will adestroy them.
Thou 1hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.
The 1Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
The 1voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: 2the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
The 1right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
I 1shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
The 1Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
1Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:
This gate of the Lord, 1into which the righteous shall enter.
I 1will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
The 1stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
aThis is the Lord's doing; 1it is marvellous in our eyes.
1This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
1Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
1Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 2we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
1God is the Lord, which hath 2shewed us light: 3bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
1Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
1O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
