Psalms 120

Psalm 120 KJV

David prayeth against his enemy, by whose slanderous behaviour he had been driven to reside among strangers.
1A Song of degrees.
1 In 1my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me.
2 1Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3 aWhat shall be given unto thee? or what shall be bdone unto thee, thou false tongue?
4 aSharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5 1Woe is me, that I sojourn in 2Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of 3Kedar!
6 My soul hath long dwelt with him 1that hateth peace.
7 I am afor peace: 1but when I speak, they are for war.
