1A Song of degrees.
Out 1of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, 1hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
1If thou, Lord, shouldest 2mark iniquities, O Lord, 3who shall stand?
But there is 1forgiveness with thee, 2that thou mayest be feared.
I 1wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and 2in his word do I hope.
1My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they athat watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
Let 1Israel hope in the Lord: 2for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
And 1he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
