Psalms 61

Psalm 61 KJV

1David encouraged by former experience fleeth to God in prayer: 4he voweth perpetual service unto him because of past, and in prospect of future, mercies.
To the chief Musician upon 1Neginah, A Psalm of David.
1 Hear 1my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 From 1the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when 2my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to 3the rock that is higher than I.
3 For 1thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I 1will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will atrust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
5 For thou, O God, 1hast heard my vows: thou hast given me 2the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6 aThou wilt prolong 1the king's life: and his years bas many generations.
7 He shall abide 1before God for ever: O 2prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8 So 1will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily 2perform my vows.
