Revelation 1

Revelation Chapter 1 KJV

The preface. 4John's salutation to the seven churches of Asia. 7The coming of Christ; 8his eternal majesty. 9John relateth his vision of the Son of man with the seven stars and the seven golden candlesticks.
The 1Revelation of Jesus Christ, 2which God gave unto him, 3to shew unto his servants things which must 4shortly come to pass; 5and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
1Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
1Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: 2for the time is at hand.
John to the 1seven churches which are in Asia: 2Grace be unto you, and peace, from him 3which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from 4the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
And from Jesus Christ, who is 1the faithful witness, and the 2first begotten of the dead, and 3the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that 4loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
And 1hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; 2to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and 2they also which pierced him: and 3all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
1I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, 2the Almighty.
I John, who also am 1your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I was 1in the Spirit on 2the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Saying, 1I am Alpha and Omega, 2the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto 3the seven churches which are in Asia; unto 4Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
And 1I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw 2seven golden candlesticks;
And 1in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto 2the Son of man, clothed with 3a garment down to the foot, and 4girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
1His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were 2as a flame of fire;
And 1his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and 2his voice as the sound of many waters.
1And he had in his right hand seven stars: 2and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: 3and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
And when I saw him, 1I fell at his feet as dead. And he 2laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
1I am he that liveth, and 2was dead; and, behold, 3I am alive for evermore, Amen; 4and have the keys of 5hell and of death.
1Write the things which thou hast seen, 2and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
The mystery of the seven 1stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the 2seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the 3angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
