Song Of Solomon 5

Song Of Solomon Chapter 5 KJV

Christ awaketh the church with His calling. 2The church having a taste of Christ's love is sick of love. 9A description of Christ by his graces.
I 1AM come into my garden, 2my sister, my spouse: I 3have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: 4eat, O friends; drink, ayea, drink abundantly, 5O beloved.
1I sleep, but my heart waketh: 2it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, 3Open to me, my sister, 4my love, 5my dove, 6my undefiled: 7for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.
I have 1put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?
My 1beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved afor him.
I 1rose up to open to my beloved; 2and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with asweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.
1I opened to my beloved; 2but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: 3my soul failed when he spake: 4I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
1The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.
1I charge you, 2O daughters of Jerusalem, if ye find my beloved, athat ye tell him, that 3I am sick of love.
1What is thy beloved more than another beloved, 2O thou fairest among women? what is thy beloved more than another beloved, that thou dost so charge us?
1My beloved is white and ruddy, athe chiefest among ten thousand.
His 1head is as the most fine gold, 2his locks are abushy, and black as a raven.
His 1eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, aand fitly set.
His 1cheeks are as a bed of spices, as asweet flowers: 2his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
His 1hands are as gold rings set with the 2beryl: 3his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with 4sapphires.
His 1legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: 2his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
1His amouth is most sweet: 2yea, he is altogether lovely. 3This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.
