Song Of Solomon 8

Song Of Solomon Chapter 8 KJV

The love of the church to Christ. 6The vehemency of love. 8The calling of the Gentiles. 14The church prayeth for Christ's coming.
O THAT 1thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, 2I would kiss thee; yea, aI should not be despised.
I would 1lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: 2I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my 3pomegranate.
His 1left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
1I charge you, 2O daughters of Jerusalem, athat ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please.
1Who is this that acometh up 2from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? 3I raised thee up under the apple tree: there 4thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.
1Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: 2for love is strong as death; jealousy is acruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
1Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: 2if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
¶ We have 1a little sister, and 2she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day 3when she shall be spoken for?
1If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and 2if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.
I am 1a wall, and my breasts like 2towers: then was I in his eyes as one that found afavour.
1Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; he let out the vineyard unto keepers; every one for the fruit thereof was to bring a thousand pieces of silver.
My 1vineyard, which is mine, is before me: thou, 2O Solomon, must have a thousand, and 3those that keep the fruit thereof two hundred.
1Thou that dwellest in the gardens, 2the companions hearken to thy voice: 3cause me to hear it.
aMake haste, my beloved, and 1be thou like to a roe or to a young hart upon the mountains of spices.
