Corinthians 2

Corinthians Chapter 2 KJV

Paul declareth that he did not use human learning and eloquence in preaching the gospel to his converts, that their faith, being built on the testimony of the spirit, and on miracles, might be solely ascribed to God. 6The gospel doth contain God's wise, but secret, counsel, for bringing men to glory; which no natural abilities could discover, but the spirit of God only, by which it was revealed to the apostles. 14Upon this account both the doctrine and its teachers are held in disesteem by the mere natural man, who is not duly qualified to judge of and discern them.
And I, brethren, when I came to you, 1came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the 2testimony of God.
For I determined 1not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
And I was with you 1in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
1And my speech and my preaching was not with aenticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1That your faith should not astand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them 1that are perfect: yet 2not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
But we speak 1the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Which none of the princes of this world knew: for 2had they known it, they would not have crucified 3the Lord of glory.
But as it is written, 1Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath 2prepared for them that love him.
1But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? 2even so the things of God knoweth no man, but 3the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, 1not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; 2that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; 2comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1But he that is spiritual 2ajudgeth all things, yet he himself is bjudged of no man.
1For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he amay instruct him? 2But we have the mind of Christ.
