1 Peter Chapter 5 KJV

1The elders are exhorted to feed the flock of Christ conscientiously, looking to the chief Shepherd for a reward. 5The younger are required to submit to the elder, and all to practise humility toward each other; 6with resignation to God; 8to be sober, watchful, and stedfast in the faith, resisting the devil. 10The epistle is concluded with a prayer and benediction.
1 The 1elders which are among you I exhort, who am 2also an elder, and a 3witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also 4a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
2 1Feed the flock of God awhich is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; 2not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3 1Neither as abeing lords over 2God's heritage, 3but being ensamples to the flock.
4 And when the 1chief Shepherd 2shall appear, ye shall receive 3a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Likewise, 1ye younger, submit yourselves unto 2the elder. Yea, all of you 3be subject one to another, and be clothed with 4humility: for 5God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 1Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 1Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 1Be sober, be vigilant; because 2your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 1Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that 2the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the 1God of all grace, 2who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, 3after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 1To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 By 1Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as 2I suppose, I have written 3briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the 4true grace of God wherein ye stand.
13 The church that is at 1Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth 2Marcus my son.
14 1Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. 2Peace be with you all that are 3in Christ Jesus. Amen.
