1In 1the year that king Uzziah died I 2saw also the 3Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and ahis train filled the temple.
2Above it 1stood 2the seraphims: each one had six 3wings; with twain he covered his 4face, and with twain he covered his 5feet, and with twain he did 6fly.
3And aone 1cried unto another, and said, 2Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: 3bthe whole earth is full of his glory.
4And the posts of the adoor 1moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with 2smoke.
5¶ Then said I, 1Woe is me! for I am aundone; because I am a man of 2unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the 3King, the Lord of hosts.
6Then 1flew one of the seraphims unto me, ahaving a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off 2the altar:
7And 1he alaid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8Also I heard the voice of 1the Lord, saying, 2Whom shall I send, and who will go for 3us? 4Then said I, Here am I; asend me.
9¶ And he said, Go, and tell 1this people, 2Hear ye aindeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
101Make the heart of this people 2fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be 3healed.
11Then said I, Lord, 1how long? And he answered, 2Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be autterly desolate,
12And the Lord1have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
13¶ But 1yet in it shall be a tenth, aand it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose bsubstance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so2the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
