Job Chapter 36 KJV

Elihu proceedeth to shew that God is just in all his ways. 8The end of God's chastisements, and the happiness of making a right use of them. 12The danger of not profiting by them. 16God's mercy hindered by Job's offence: 18he is exhorted to repentance. 22God's power uncontrollable. 24His works are to be magnified, but cannot be comprehended.
Elihu also proceeded, and said,
1Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that aI have yet to speak on God's behalf.
I will 1fetch my knowledge from afar, and will 2ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
For 1truly my words shall not be false: he that is 2perfect in knowledge is with thee.
Behold, God is mighty, and 1despiseth not any: he is 2mighty in strength and awisdom.
He 1preserveth not the life of the wicked: but 2giveth right to the apoor.
He 1withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are 2they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
And if 1they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;
Then 1he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
He 1openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
1If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
But 1if they obey not, athey shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
But the hypocrites in heart 1heap up wrath: they cry not when he 2bindeth them.
aThey die 1in youth, and their life is among the bunclean.
He 1delivereth the apoor in his affliction, and 2openeth their ears in oppression.
1Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into 2a broad place, where there is no straitness; and athat which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
But thou hast 1fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: ajudgment and justice take hold on thee.
1Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a 2great ransom cannot adeliver thee.
Will he 1esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
1Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
1Take heed, regard not iniquity: for 2this hast thou 3chosen rather than affliction.
Behold, God 1exalteth by his power: 2who teacheth like him?
1Who hath enjoined him his way? or 2who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
Remember that thou 1magnify his work, which men behold.
1Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
Behold, 1God is great, and we know him not, neither 2can the number of his years be searched out.
For he 1maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
Which 1the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
Also can any understand the 1spreadings of the clouds, or the 2noise of his tabernacle?
Behold, he spreadeth his 1light upon it, and 2covereth athe bottom of the sea.
For by them 1judgeth he the people; he 2giveth meat in abundance.
With 1clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.
The 1noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning athe vapour.
