Psalms 11

Psalm 11 KJV

1David encourageth himself in God against his enemies. 4The providence and justice of God.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 In the 1Lord put I my trust: 2how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
2 For, lo, 1the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may aprivily shoot at the upright in heart.
3 If the 1foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
4 The 1Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven: 2his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5 The 1Lord trieth the righteous: 2but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
6 1Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and aan horrible tempest: this shall be the 2portion of their cup.
7 For 1the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; 2his countenance doth behold the upright.
