Psalm 4 KJV

David prayeth God to hear him: 2he reproveth his enemies, and exhorteth them. 6Man's happiness consisteth in the favour of God.
To the achief Musician on 1Neginoth, A Psalm of David.
Hear me when I call, 1O God of my righteousness: thou 2hast enlarged me when I was in distress; ahave mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
O ye 1sons of men, how long will ye turn 2my glory into shame? how long 3will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
But know that the Lord 1hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord 2will hear when I call unto him.
1Stand in awe, and sin not: 2commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Offer 1the sacrifices of righteousness, and 2put your trust in the Lord.
there be 1many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, 2lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
Thou 1hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
I 1will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.
