Ephesians 6

Ephesians Chapter 6 KJV

The relative duties of children, 4and parents; 5of servants, 9and masters. 10Paul exhorteth the brethren to resist spiritual enemies by putting on the whole armour of God, 18and by perseverance in prayer, which he requireth for all saints, and particularly for himself, that he might preach the gospel with due boldness. 21He commendeth Tychicus, 23and concludeth with good wishes to all sincere Christians.
Children, 1obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
1Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, 1ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and 2admonition of the Lord.
1Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, 2with fear and trembling, in 3singleness of your heart, 4as unto Christ;
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as 1the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
1With good will doing service, 2as to the Lord, and not to men:
Knowing 1that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
1And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, aforbearing threatening: knowing that byour Master also is in heaven; 2neither is there respect of persons with him.
Finally, my brethren, 1be strong in the Lord, and in 2the power of his might.
1Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the 2wiles of the devil.
For 1we wrestle not against aflesh and blood, but against 2principalities, against powers, against 3the rulers of the darkness of this world, against bspiritual wickedness in chigh places.
Wherefore 1take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the 2evil day, and ahaving done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, 1having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
1And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
1Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take 1the helmet of salvation, and 2the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
1Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and 2watching thereunto with 3all perseverance and supplication for 4all saints;
1And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may 2open my mouth boldly, to make known the 3mystery of the gospel,
For which I am 1an ambassador ain bonds: that btherein I may speak boldly, as I 2ought to speak.
1But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, 2Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
1Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
1Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ ain sincerity. Amen.
