Then Jonah 1prayed unto the Lord2his God 3out of the fish's belly,
And said, I 1cried aby reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he 2heard me; 3out of the belly of bhell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
For thou 1hadst cast me into the deep, in the amidst of the seas; and the 2floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
Then I said, 1I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will 2look again toward thy holy temple.
The 1waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
I went down to the abottoms of the mountains; the earth with 1her bars was about me for ever: 2yet hast thou brought up my life from bcorruption, O Lord my God.
When 1my soul 2fainted within me 3I remembered the Lord: and 4my prayer came in unto thee, into thine 5holy temple.
They that 1observe lying vanities forsake 2their own mercy.
But 1I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. 2Salvation is of the Lord.
¶ And the Lord1spake unto the fish, and 2it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
