Psalms 138

Psalm 138 KJV

1David praiseth God for the truth of his word: 4he prophesieth that the kings of the earth shall praise God for his respect unto the lowly: 7he professeth his confidence in God.
a Psalm of David.
1 I WILL 1praise thee with my whole heart: 2before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2 I 1will worship toward thy holy temple, and 2praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for 3thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3 In 1the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and 2strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
4 1All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for 1great is the glory of the Lord.
6 1Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but 2the proud he knoweth afar off.
7 Though I walk in the midst 1of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
8 The 1Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: 2thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: 3forsake not 4the works of thine own hands.
